Lucas Amaral

Illustrator - Designer - Educator

Lucas Amaral is an illustrator and dedicated K-12 educator from New Bedford, Massachusetts. He embarked on his academic journey at Boston’s Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2019. There, he pursued a major in Art Education with a concentration in Illustration. During this time he had the opportunity to create professional illustrations for clients like Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, Boston Harbor Now, United Way of Rhode Island, and Zoo New England. Following the successful completion of his Bachelor of Arts in Art Education in 2023, Lucas continued his education career and earned his Master of Arts in Education in 2024.

Currently, Lucas passionately applies his extensive knowledge and artistic skills in his role as an educator at Brockton High School. Concurrently, he actively nurtures his illustration practice, striking a harmonious balance between his professional teaching commitments and artistic pursuits.
